Abstract

This review article provides an overview of recent developments in quantum computing, focusing on hardware implementations and algorithmic advances. We discuss the progress made by major technology companies and research institutions in achieving quantum supremacy. The paper examines various qubit technologies including superconducting circuits, trapped ions, and photonic systems. We also analyze the potential applications of quantum computing in cryptography, drug discovery, and optimization problems.
